The sleep that changed. The weight that became harder to manage. The energy that disappeared. The brain fog. The anxiety. The feeling that what used to work simply doesn’t anymore.
But somewhere along the way, you may have realized that it’s not only your body that feels different.
There are other pieces too — what you’re carrying, the roles you’ve spent years filling, what you’ve tried, what you’ve normalized, and perhaps even questions about what you actually want now.
When there are this many pieces, how do you know what really deserves your attention?
Wisdom Within is a one-day, in-person experience for midlife women who want to understand more of what’s brought them to where they are now, see their own picture differently, and create some genuine direction for what comes next.
Things you once tolerated without a second thought can feel harder now.
Your energy may have changed. Your capacity may have changed. Perhaps you’re less willing to keep pushing through things you once simply got on with.
And you’ve probably already tried to understand why.
You’ve read about hormones, stress and sleep. You’ve listened to podcasts. You’ve changed what you eat or how you exercise. Perhaps you’ve had tests, taken supplements, considered HRT or already use it.
And somewhere underneath the physical changes, quieter questions can start appearing too.
Most of it may be perfectly reasonable advice.
But knowing what women in midlife should do and understanding what matters in your own situation are two very different things.
Because you aren’t a generic woman in midlife.
Sometimes what is missing isn’t another piece of information.
It’s enough space and perspective to stand back and see the pieces you already have differently.
You don’t come to Wisdom Within because the information isn’t available elsewhere.
This isn’t a day of sitting while Sally speaks and you take pages of notes.
You bring your experience into the room.
You’ll have opportunities to reflect on what has changed, map what’s been happening, notice what you’ve normalized and listen to what becomes visible when you hear other women talking about experiences that may sound remarkably familiar.
Sally facilitates the conversations, asks different questions and brings experienced perspective to the room — helping you look at your own experience from angles that can be difficult to access when everything has been looping around inside your own head.
Because sometimes another woman says something and you think:
That’s it. That’s what I’ve been trying to explain.
Sometimes someone asks a question you’ve never thought to ask.
And sometimes simply getting far enough outside your everyday life changes what you can see.
That’s difficult to recreate with another podcast playing while you’re driving home from work.
Wisdom Within is a deliberately small, one-day immersive experience for no more than 15 midlife women.
Nobody will be diagnosing you, prescribing a treatment plan or telling you what your life is supposed to mean.
You won’t spend the day sitting back and listening, either. Wisdom Within is participatory by design — you’ll reflect, write, talk, notice and engage with your own experience throughout the day, always with choice around what you share
Instead, you’ll bring the pieces of your own experience into the room and have the time, questions, conversation and perspective to look at them differently.
And Wisdom Within is deliberately a full day.
Not because there are seven hours of information to squeeze in.
Quite the opposite.
And time when nobody needs anything from you.
The space is part of the experience.
Throughout the day, you’ll progressively create your own Wisdom Within Map.
Not pages of notes about what women in midlife should do.
Your Map.
Something you can take home and return to after the day is over.
I don’t want to promise you that one Saturday will transform your life.
And I’m certainly not going to promise you’ll leave with every answer.
What Wisdom Within is designed to give you is something much more useful:
By the end of the day, the goal isn’t for you to have everything figured out.
It’s for the pieces to feel less scattered.
For you to understand more of what you’ve been seeing, feeling and carrying.
For something to begin standing out from the noise.
And for you to leave with a starting point that feels like yours — not another list of things somebody else thinks you should be doing.
You’ve probably experienced this before.
The emails start. Someone needs something. Work gets busy. Dinner needs making.
And by Wednesday, everyday life has quietly closed back over the space you created.
Wisdom Within has been designed with that reality in mind.
Your Map comes home with you.
In the days following the experience, you’ll receive short integration prompts to reconnect you with what you noticed, what mattered and what you wanted to give more attention to.
And between 7 and 14 days after Wisdom Within, you’ll have an included:
This isn’t another consultation you need to purchase.
It’s an opportunity to come back together once you’ve been home and real life has resumed.
Because the real test of an experience like this isn’t how you feel walking out of the room.
It’s what still matters once you’re back inside your life.
For nearly four decades, Sally Pattison has worked in and around healthcare, listening to people’s health stories and seeing how easily the whole picture gets lost when every change is looked at separately.
Today, as a naturopath, nutritionist and medical herbalist, her work with midlife women is grounded in something deceptively simple:
One thing all those years have taught her is that the symptom someone is most worried about isn’t always where the story began.
And that matters at Wisdom Within.
Sally’s role isn’t to stand at the front of the room and tell 15 women what their lives mean.
It’s to listen.
To ask questions.
To notice patterns.
To bring experienced perspective into the conversations.
And to create the conditions in which each woman has the opportunity to see more of her own picture.
Wisdom Within will be held in Belongil Pavilion 2 at Elements of Byron, in a deliberately intimate setting for no more than 15 women.
You’ll arrive from 9:00 am, with tea and coffee waiting, giving you time to settle before we begin together at 9:30.
Throughout the day there will be morning tea, a nourishing seasonal lunch and afternoon tea, along with fresh, wholesome options to keep you well nourished.
Your Wisdom Within journal and Map will be waiting for you.
There will be space for conversation.
Space to reflect.
Space to move.
And space where you don’t need to organize what happens next.
For once, someone else has thought about the food.
Someone else is holding the timing.
Someone else has thought about the room.
You don’t have to be falling apart to belong here.
You may be genuinely struggling with changes in your body, energy or how you feel in yourself.
Perhaps you’ve reached the point where what you’ve been doing simply isn’t working anymore.
But your life might also look perfectly fine on paper.
And yet you know something has shifted.
And you don’t need to know exactly what you want before you come.
That’s rather the point.
Come alone.
Really.
You won’t be expected to walk into a room and somehow “network” with 14 strangers.
You won’t be put on the spot and asked to tell everyone your life story.
And participating does not mean disclosing anything you don’t want to share.
The day is deliberately facilitated so conversation happens naturally — sometimes together, sometimes in smaller groups or pairs, and sometimes entirely in your own thoughts and on your own page.
You can arrive knowing nobody and still belong in the room.
This may actually be the harder question.
Not whether Wisdom Within sounds useful.
Whether you can justify giving an entire Saturday — and that much attention — to yourself.
You’ve probably spent years giving attention to things that matter.
Perhaps the question isn’t whether you deserve a day.
Perhaps it’s simply:
There will always be something else asking for your time.
And if the plan is to think about yourself when everything settles down, you probably already know how easily six months becomes another year.
The cost of waiting isn’t necessarily that something terrible happens.
Sometimes it’s simply that nothing changes.
Available until September 30.
Standard investment $688 from October 1st for any remaining places.
Your investment includes:
